Justice Gorsuch is just another garden variety Republican Tea Party hack hiding behind black robes – like Alito, Roberts, Scalia and Thomas before him. The only thing that distinguishes him at all is that his nomination was made possible by Republican Tea Party Senate Majority Leader McConnell stealing the nomination that belonged to then President Obama.,hoping that Mr. Trump would be elected and that he would nominate someone like Judge Gorsuch. Of course, unlike a Lanister, President Trump does not pay his debts, and so ridicules Senator McConnell, despite what he did for him. #MAGA #GOP
President Trump in Poland ahead of the G-20 Summit…
“I think it could very well have been Russia but I think it could well have been other countries, I won’t be specific…I think a lot of people interfere. I think it’s been happening for a long time…Nobody really knows…Nobody really knows for sure…(Obama did nothing about it…he thought Hillary was going to win…Why did he do nothing from August all the way to Nov. 8?”
So, President Trump’s Russian friends didn’t do anything, but then President Obama is guilty, of something vague, for not punishing them…for something that President Trump asserts probably didn’t happen…despite what every single U.S. intelligence agency concludes did happen.
Thanks Republican Tea Partiers, Bernie Bros and Jill Stein dead-enders.
In The Washington Post on 04/05/2017, Senator McCain spoke about Majority Leader McConnell’s plan to eliminate the filibuster for Supreme Court nominations. Senator McCain was against it, and even thought the idea was “stupid”.
Nevertheless, TWP noted – “Even so, McCain will support McConnell’s move to eliminate the 60-vote threshold for reaching a final vote on Supreme Court justices to lifetime appointments.”
And, once again, the Republican Tea Party problem in a nutshell – rant and rave about how awful the thing they are about to do is, but go and ahead and support it anyway.
How could any self-respecting Republican Tea Partier possibly be against stripping 24 to 26 million mostly old, elderly and sick people of the health insurance they have in order to provide them the freedom to choose to give billions of dollars in tax breaks to the already well-off and wealthy?
The argument within the Republican Tea Party on how to replace “Obamacare” with TrumpRyanCare basically breaks down between one side, which wants to steal from the poor and elderly to give more tax breaks to the already well-off and wealthy, versus those who think screaming freedom at the poor and elderly should take care of any health problems they chose to have.
On February 9 President Trump tweeted: SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!”
On February 16 the Department of Justice filed a brief in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals taking 60+ ages to say “the most appropriate course would be for the Court to hold its consideration of the case until the President issues the new Order and then vacate the panel’s preliminary decision.”
Meanwhile, at his press conference (or was that a therapy session?) the same day, the president claimed the Administration was still appealing the order – “We’ll be going along the one path and hopefully winning that…”
While also noting “At the same time, we will be issuing a new and very comprehensive order to protect our people.”
An addled mind is the devil’s playground.
